What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer to pay school fees for my child who is in high school. I spent some amount to buy additional iron sheets, timber and nails which I have used to build my house, I paid laborers who wee building my house. The remaining amount, I spent to buy food for my family.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I would not have received the transfer, my child would not have been sent home for fees like it has always been.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly sent us transfers which has changed our lives because we were able to achieve what we could not nod do due to our financial status. I have not seen anything that GD has not done well

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on buying 25 pieces of roofing iron sheets and other building materials that I'll use to build a better house. I also spent part f the transfer on paying school fee for my children so that they are not sent home due to fee arrears. I again bought a sofa set chair so that my family and visitors can get a comfortable place to sit on. The remaining cash I spent on buying food to feed my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is having some of the items that I didn't have before like furniture and building materials that I'll use to build a better house.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on Secondary School fee for my daughter (6,000 KES) to enable her go back to class, processed birth Certificates for her two siblings (2,000 KES) and spent the rest on dry maize for food.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money I felt lucky that as a widow, my prayer had just been answered since my daughter Sharon who had just been sent away from school due to non-payment of fee could now go back. My initial state of confusion cleared suddenly and I escorted my girl back to school the following day.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I have planned to pay school fees for my children who are in high school since I have a big debt at school. I also plan to set up a small business that will be giving me money to provide for my children.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The proudest achievement is that I moved from our grandparents home to my own,after my husband passed away.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship is paying school fees. I have no job and their is no one helping me to educate my children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when am sitting with my children after we have completed our daily chores.
