How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, my life have been change from sadness to happiness. My plan now is to build a new and decent house for me and my grandchildren because the present house is in a very bad condition that is causing serious threat in our daily life. The walls of is house is gradually crumbling. However, building a new house has been my newest goal.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GiveDirectly has done so much unthinkable things for us that we will remain forever grateful for. The fairness and transparency of this Organization during the selection process to up to the time of payment is very unique. All the sacrifices staff undergo in making our life better is rewarding. Finally, in my opinion, GiveDirectly has not done anything that is not well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Since I started receiving payment from GiveDirectly, most of my recent transfer was spend on purchasing zinc, planks, nail and other building materials. Moreover, portion of my transfer was used to pay contractors cut sticks for the building projects. With GD transfer, I'm able to achieve my greatest desire of building a new house.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
" I felt very fine when I first saw the money on my phone. I was so excited,I called GiveDirectly office right away to say thanks to them for changing my life for the better".
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My life before GiveDirectly was a bit difficult, I lived in a old house,getting my granddaughter school fees wasn't easy but now I can boast that I will be a new house owner soon and my grandchild is in school and with a brand new uniform. I am excited and I'm grateful to God for this. I know receiving this money for all the four times my life will change for the best.

"Before I received this money my house was not in a good condition. So as soon as I got the money first thing I did was to pay for zinc,nails,plank and sticks to build a new house. I also bought some food to cook for the workers. Buy gas for the powersaw operator to saw the planks and pay my grand daughter fees and also bought a new set of uniform for her".

I'm a widow with my 2 girls children living with me, getting this money, I will build a house for myself and send my children to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My 2 little girls children being promoted is a joy for me, I got their report card few days ago and they got promoted, I was so much happy. I pray GiveDirectly give me a helping hand so I can support my girls children.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Living in other people's place is a big problem, no money to send my children to school, life is so hard for me.
