Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My next goal in the next four months is to buy materials for raising tea seedlings. Tea is a major cash crop in our locality and during rainy season people usually buy seedlings for planting. I am eying to grab this opportunity when the seedlings are affordable and of a higher quality so that during the next rainy season, they will attract many customers. This would give me a good income for investing in other family projects.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In the last four months, I have been spending part of my transfers on purchasing farm inputs. I have also used part of the money to prepare a piece of land for farming. Currently, I am in the process of planting potatoes. I managed to buy potato seeds using the transfers I received from Give Directly. I thank God for this empowerment which I got after this organization came to my life. It will definitely not leave me the same financial status I was in before this organization came into my life
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I will have harvested potatoes that I have already started planting. I am expecting a bumper harvest because I have used the necessary farm inputs. The income which I would generate from this would enable me to cater to my family needs. I am also planning to buy livestock with part of the money I will get from the sale of potatoes.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I have started a tea nursery project. I used to do casual jobs in the village and the money I could get was not enough to enable me to buy the materials for this noble project. This was making me feel so desperate and I started to drink alcohol. I had no time for any project or even to help my mother at home. The small amount of money I could get from the casual jobs I used it to buy alcohol. After I started to received the money from GiveDirectly my life changed I started to see how my friends were investing the money. I started to embrace those ideas and what came into my mind was to started tea nursery. I stopped drinking alcohol because I could not get the time to drink I was so devoted to this work and this has changed my life. I no longer drink and I help my mother in doing some of the chores after working on my farm. I'm so grateful because I did not know that I will stop the drinking habit. I have my own project and I no longer do much of the casual jobs.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months because I am now married. I feel happier and more relieved. My wife helps me in handling some of the household and farming activities such as weeding. On the other hand, I have gained more responsibilities and respect since I am a father and husband unlike before. Still, I have changed some of my social behaviors as evidenced with the significant reduction in consumption of alcohols following the increased responsibilities.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
The additional goal for my life for the next four months is to ensure that I purchase enough tea seedlings to be planted in my 0.5-acre piece of land. Besides, I look forward to buying a lactating cow since the one that I have is still young. I will rely mainly on the money that I have saved through table banking to finance the two projects.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I am enjoying a happier family life unlike before. I got married in December (about two months ago). Subsequently, I have a helpful companion and partner. I have gained more responsibilities as a husband and father. Overall, I attribute all my accomplishments to the financial support that I received from GiveDirectly because I used to fear to marry since I did not have any source of significant income for sustaining a family.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to lead a better life. We shall be having adequate milk for consumption by my family because we shall have purchased a lactating cow. Subsequently, I will save lots of money which could have been used to purchase the milk. Besides, we shall be residing in a new and better house because we are currently residing in a grass-thatched house. Hence, I look forward to a happier family in the future.
