How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed alot compared to the past before I received the cash transfer. I was suffering alot with not enough money to provide for my family. In addition to this, we were living in a leaking overcrowded house and with no hope of getting a nice house. I recall at one point there was too much downpour and all my food stuff got rotten because of the leaking house. I am very grateful for the cash transfer that has enabled me construct a nice two roomed house with a store to keep my food stuff safe during rainy season.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly does well to support all households regardless of their status or gender. GiveDirectly through the cash transfers has only done great things and these have transformed my community.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second to purchase cement worth UGX448,000 and iron sheets worth UGX600,000 and timber worth UGX138,000. I spent UGX400,000 to pay the builders and the remaining UGX44,000 was spent on buying food.
