My life is currently different in that before the transfers were sent, I used to depend majorly on allowances earned from volunteering as a social worker. This was not consistent, on some days I was forced to do casual work to earn an income which was never readily available. But thank God, GD reformed my life I was able to start a poultry project from the transfers I received and this has been instrumental in my life as far as provision is concerned. I can earn from the project and meet my needs.

In the next four months, my plan is to have a modern structure for the poultry business and enlarge my production. This will help generate more income. As the project nears to the end, I will be able to sustain my family through the sales from my poutry business.

The biggest difference in my life in the past four months is that I have been able to expand my poultry business by adding hybrids that are resistant to diseases. Initially, the local breeds that I had could succumb to diseases and I lost several birds. This reduced my production and ate into my profits. But currently, the improved breeds are disease resistant and this has seen their numbers grow equally the production as well has improved.

In the next six months, I expect I will have expanded my project and enhanced my production. I am looking forward to becoming an established poultry farmer. To act as a benchmark for those who want to start the same project. Besides that, I will be at a position of consistently providing for my family with much ease and at a comfortable state.

Previously I didn't have a reliable source of income and I was idle in most cases. This made life so challenging because being physically challenged I couldn't do most of the activities that could generate income. I'm happy this is not the case anymore because I used the previous transfers to start up a poultry project. I'm proud at the moment I have around 60 chicken and soon I'll start earning more than 1000 KES from them. This will enable me to comfortably meet my family's needs without relying on anyone.

Currently, I have an iron shelter for the poultry but this isn't secure because anyone or any predator can easily break in and steal or harm the poultry. For the next four months of my life, I expect to have a new goal of saving some money so that I can use it to construct a permanent structure for the poultry.

I'm physically challenged and people have this notion that the physically challenged people are beggars. For a longer period of time, I haven't been having a reliable source of income thus I was idle most of the time. The moment when I started receiving the transfers I invested in poultry keeping. Initially, I started with less than ten but currently, I have a stock of close to 60 chicken. I feel so proud of myself and currently, I'm no longer idle because I spend most of my time feeding the poultry and cleaning both the poultry house and feeding containers. This is how different my life has been in the last four months preceding the current transfers.

Currently, I only have a small piece of land where I do farming. Due to the small size, I normally get small produce that can't sustain my family for a year. Therefore, in the next six months of my life, I expect to have saved enough money to purchase a piece of land where I'll be farming.

The last four months has been so good for me because I bought a solar powered system that I have been using to keep my chicks warm at night during cold hours. Apart from that, the solar system also helps me to keep the house bright at night so right now I do not have to use paraffin lighting system due to its chocking nature.

My short term goal right now is to be able to increase the size of production so that the project can pick up and increase the size of my income. If the birds can lay eggs rapidly, it will means that their numbers will increase significantly and the amount of profits that I generate can also rise

The money has helped me to uplift the project of poultry keeping which has kept me afloat since the first time that GD came to our village. I started with a few birds by then but right now the numbers have been increasing significantly every month because of how committed I have been with this project. I see myself having a bright future ahead because my plans are elaborate and my commitment are unrivaled in this village. Very soon I will be the number one supplier around.

I want to buy barbed wire that I will use to fence my entire compound so that I do not have to keep the chicks in a closed door environment for the whole day. Apart from that, I want to build a permanent structure for my chicks so that I will not have to use the temporary structure in the future.

Apart from keeping poultry for the business that has greatly improved my livelihood, my current life is different from how it was four months ago in that I also managed to purchase a solar lamp. I have reduced the cost of buying kerosene and that money I now channel to other projects that is more income generating.

My new goal is to start supplying chicken to the big hotels around me. I am physically disabled and I do not want to depend on people who most of the time see me as a bother. In the next four months, my livelihood shall have improved greatly and even more as compared to how it is today because I will be receiving more income from selling my chicken and even eggs.

I feel economically empowered now in my daily life. When I look at the last four months, I only relied on my small workshops to earn me some small wages, that has changed greatly since I started receiving these transfer as I started a poultry keeping project. My livelihood has greatly improved. I am able to sell eggs and even chicken. I take myself like any other normal person and my disability in no longer a challenge. I make my own money from myy own sweat.

In the next six months, hopefully, I shall have made more profits from poultry farming. With the profits made here, I shall have bought a motorcycle for the taxi business. To transport the products, I will not have to hire any means of transport. I will be using my own means and selling my own products. That is a guaranteed comfortable life from the profits made.

I am planning to also open upon up a cosmetics shop in the market center once the poultry project has picked up.

Currently I am able to actualize the plans that I have. Initially, I had plans but lacked money to implement them so they were sort of dreams. Now I have an assured income from GD. This has changed my life.

In the next six months, once my project has picked, I will plaster my mad house to prevent the rains from destroying it.

I have been working on a poultry project in the year 2018. I never knew where I would have gotten money for the project but thanks to GD this project is coming to life because of the transfers I have received.
