What does receiving this money mean to you?
My husband left home last month to look for piecework in another area and he is yet to be back. This has left the house in difficult shape as there is no one to cut the grass for watching since its heavy work. Whenever there are rains, this house leaks a lot and we always struggle moving clothes and belongings from one part of the house to another. Hence this money means a better house with iron sheets and good floor. The other money will be used to buy some goats to rear so that we can sell them in future since money is hard to come by.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Living in a village like this means lacking many good things life can offer. Hence my happiest part of the day is always that time when I manage to find some money and buy mice relish to cook for my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is frequest illness. This started several years ago although I have been to different clinics am always diagnosed with different diseases each time. Sometimes it's malaria, sometimes unexplained body pains among others. This affects my efforts to care for my family.
