How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have a new house in the next six months since this is my major goal. In addition, I also expect to have expanded my porridge business because it is my major source of livelihood. Having expanded my porridge business will give me more money to enable me to provide for my family the basic needs with a lot of ease,
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I am now self-dependent. I want to thank Give Directly for having given me an additional source of income hence I now provide for my family with ease. The business I am doing gives me very little profit hence providing all basic needs for my family has been a hard nut to crack because it is also not reliable. When I started receiving money from Give Directly I managed to invest some in farming by buying fertilizer and hybrid seed, this resulted in a bumper harvest. I now have enough food in my house hence I do not have stress from lack of food unlike before. As I continue with my business I am able to save part of the profit towards my future goal of renovating my house.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am staying in a house that is almost collapsing, the walls have big cracks thus it is not safe for a human being. I have been endearing my life by staying their simply because I have nowhere to go. My new or additional goal for my life for the next four months is to build a better house, I am planning to build a better house that is iron roofed.

This was only possible through the savings I put in place and it was not possible previously as I earned so little that would on cater to our daily provision of food we eat leave alone buy any other household item. I bought a water tank to help in storing rainwater when it rains as we would walk long distance looking for water something that would eat into my time and energy that I would put into other income-generating activities.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I currently have easy access to cash that I can use to fulfil my goals. I have bought the household stuff that I have used to furnish my house. My house now looks beautiful and my visitors are always at home whenever they visit. I have been using the transfers to put on the table for my family on a daily basis. I work less as compared to when I did not receive the transfers when I would work twice as much just to put food on the table for my family.
