How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The goal I had was to make sure my children are continuing with learning without any interruption. This will ensure that the perform well in their exams and at long last having a bright future. To accomplish this goal, I have invested some amount of my transfer into goats rearing activity, I will be able to sell them to further their studies. Having attained all this I have no new goal.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well for coming with the cash transfer program which has helped me meet the desires of my heart. I do not see anything that the organization does not do well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent KES 10, 000 to support my children's education by paying part of their transfer. One is in a technical college and another one in secondary school. I also bought one goat for KES 3000 to boost my goat rearing which I started with my transfer. I also bought new clothes for every family member since our clothes were worn out. Lastly, I saved KES 4000 to our women's financial group for future use.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I can’t clearly recall the exact time but it was in the mid-morning hours when I received the transfer message from GiveDirectly while in a seminar. I felt so happy that I wished the seminar to be concluded so that I can leave for home to plan on how I was going to spend the money on. At some point I felt like leaving the seminar but I composed myself till the seminar came to an end.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The goats we bought are a mark of GiveDirectly in our home. Their presence makes the home a live since in our tradition a home without livestock is incomplete. The house which I am planning to construct is another icon that will shape my life. These two things are the miracles I can testify that if it were not for GiveDirectly I wouldn’t have achieved them. Thank you so much to the organization and its entire staff.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
After withdrawing the money, the 1st thing I settled was KES 2000.00 school fees for my primary school child who had been sent home from school. I also bought 2 goats and did some shopping of some food stuff for the family. For the remaining amount, I am planning to buy some iron sheets so that I can construct a permanent house since the one I have is not reliable as we are approaching the rainy season.
