What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on buying sand and cement that I used to plaster my house. It was initially made of mud and cow dung. I was forced to smear it frequently to maintain it. GiveDirectly has relieved me of this. Using part of the money,I used to buy a cow for rearing and milking.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that I am now staying in a plastered house. I had ruled out this as I knew I would never get the money to do it. I am so happy.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on purchasing a solar panel that would help me in charging my cell phone and relieve from the daily burden of purchasing kerosene for lighting the house. I must confess that the solar panel bought has made us so proud, especially my children who currently conduct their academic studies under a well lit room.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy when I received my transfer which came unexpectedly following the rumours that went around the village that GiveDirectly would never send the transfers as promised.
