How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
The other difference in my life in the last four months is that I was able to acquire a solar system. It has been my dream to light with the solar system since buying kerosene on a daily basis is very costly yet I do not have a stable source of income. I have always feared using kerosene because of the kind of roof I had. I knew my house could easily catch fire when roofed with grass than iron sheets. With GD transfers, I have been able to buy a solar system which helps me in lighting at night and reduce my daily expenditure especially since I don't buy kerosene on a daily basis.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I still plan to finish buying more iron sheets and nails which I will use in putting up an iron-roofed house. I have been living in a grass thatched house and with the opportunity provided by GD, I would want to have a significant change. I also want to upgrade the house just like my neighbours. I would not want to look poor as I have looked before.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving these transfers is that I have iron sheets which I will use for putting up an iron-roofed house. I have been living in a grass thatched house for the last two years because of my low income from small casual work which has not been consistent. I have to put up in the house even though the condition worsens daily. The grass on the roof started coming off three months ago and I was not able to even repair it. I am glad upto today it's not leaking. This is why I chose to buy building materials such as iron sheets which I plan to use in putting up a decent iron roof house. I know in the next four months, I will be able to buy the nails so that I can build a house since I have my own timber.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months after completing the house, I want to buy a sheep as an investment. I would want to have livestock in my home just like my neighbours and I know how they can bail me out during the time of financial crisis. When it reproduces, I will have a number which is a source of wealth and later sell them to buy a cow.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is different from how it was in that, I am financially discipline. I am able to save money and reach some of the goals which I had yearned for a long time. Recently, I managed to buy two sheep and this is an investment for me. I intend to initiate a scheme where we collect money to one household member who then uses it to invest. This will enable me to bull very soon when I shall be issued with my savings.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to buy a bull. I have three bulls but they are not enough to plough my farm hence I have been borrowing one from a neighbor in order to successfully complete ploughing my farm. The disadvantage is that I have to reciprocate by ploughing for him as a sign of appreciation which is time consuming. I do not want to continue with this trend and that is why I am determined to reach this goal.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have learned to be financially disciplined. I was able to save money for some time and used the amount on buying two sheep. This is an investment for me. Sheep reproduces faster and this is an advantage because I will be able to sell some of them. The money that I shall have earned will help me to take care of emergencies and daily needs. Today, I plan well and manage to hit my goals, although managing them step by step.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the near future is to buy an ox to add to the three oxen that I currently have. Since I usually till my land using oxen in order to reduce the cost of farming, the three that I currently have cannot do it alone hence I am forced to borrow one ox from a neighbor but it comes with a lot of conditions and a cost to it. The habit of borrowing an ox every time I want to till my land does not ogre well with me and hence my desire to have one of my own. Once I have this, it will be easier for me to plan my farm well and even reduce the cost of farming and thus maximizing on proceeds from my farm.
