I did spend the transfer I received to purchase a piece of land. I did this because I did not have land to build my home on hence thought it wise to purchase on with the money I received from GD.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I do not have to manually water my tomato farm and I also do not have to hire anymore.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first transfer, I used 7500 KES to buy tomato and vegetable (kales) seeds to plant for my family business. The balance was all used up on buying foodstuffs for my family.

The moment I received the money, I really felt happy because my plan of engaging in agribusiness was now going to materialise.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced is great loss in horticulture farming as I have no water pump to irrigate the farm after planting.
What is the happiest part of your day?
During morning hours after harvesting and selling my horticultural products gives me a great joy as I'm able to buy food and pay school fees for my children.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means hope for the future. I would want to buy a water pump so that I may do horticulture even during dry season. It would also enable be construct a latrine and complete plastering my house.
