What does receiving this money mean to you?
The money will meant buying food for the whole family. There are five people in my family. Myself and my husband plus three children. My husband is in South Africa were he is working since 2017 and I am here with the kids. I rely much on my husband to send money for child support and household expenses. Apart from that, I do farm on our small land on yearly basis. Currently, my husband has not been sending child support money and it is difficult to find food for the whole family by myself. I was told he is to been paid at his work that's why he is not sending the help. My farm place is so small that on average I harvest 2 50kgs bags. Those two bags takes us about 5 to 6 months which means I rely on buying to cover the remaining mouths. The cash gift, will help me to buy maize and other food stuffs. In addition I will also buy fertilizer that will allow me to harvest at least 4 50kgs bags. If there will be any money left, then I will buy extra farming field.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happy when my family is well fed in the evening because it's so hard to find food that will be used for supper.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship I have been facing is not having enough food for the family. Due to that, I do so much piece work to buy food. I can not develop myself as each time I found money, it goes straight to buying food.
