What did you spend your second transfer on?
I never had a piece of land where to build my home and therefore I was staying in a rental house which was very expensive despite being jobless. So when Give Directly sent my second transfer, I bought a piece of land with the whole amount and I am just waiting to build and moved into it. I will move out of a rental house where I have been staying in with much stress for the last 20 years.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I can now talk of land that I own as an asset. I can sell the land at a profit or build my home and move out of a rental house in the near future. Before then, I lived in abject poverty and therefore I never had any assets to count on for instance, I have stayed in a rental house for the last 20 years with no progress or success.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent most of my first transfer to pay school fees for my child who is in primary school because I did not want him to be sent home for school fees. The remaining amount I spent to my rent and the remaining amount I spent to buy food for my family
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I received the money I was very happy because I was going to pay for my child a whole year's school fees and he will not be sent home from school like always

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Bringing up my children single handedly since I separated with my husband has been the biggest challenge for me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the morning when I wake up. I see this as another opportunity to work hard and make my life and that of my family better
What does receiving this money mean to you?
I will be able to build a house for my family. For a long period I have stayed in a rented house and this denies me the opportunity to interract with my extended family members.
