Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Now having recovered a bit, I am thinking of investing in poultry farming so that I would have a reliable source of income after GiveDirectly ended. The next transfers, I will spend part of it to purchase building materials for constructing a poultry house. The other portion I will spend on buying some chicken to add some which I have at the moment. I opted for this farming as it is easy to rear chicken and requires less labour. Through the sale of eggs, I will earn money to support my family and also have some for food.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Since last year August, I have been staying back at home without going for work due to sickness which attacks the muscles around the neck and arms. I couldn't even take a step or walk on my own without the support. I use to work as a mason and since then I stopped working and all the burden of the provision for the family was set on my wife's shoulders. This also forced her to terminate the business she uses to do as she got to attend to me and pay for my medication with the little capital she had invested. The doctor had advised me to take more vegetables and soup which I couldn't afford regularly but with the money which I receive from Give Directly, I have been able to get all these with less struggle. In the last two months, I have seen some great improvement with my health and now I can stretch and walk around with less pain. I thank this organization for the help as I believe were not for their help I wouldn't be the way I am now.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I hope I will have fully recovered and going back to work. I believe that by then I will have started poultry farming and that I meeting my daily family needs won't be a struggle anymore as will be selling eggs to earn some income.

It does not provide the much needed shelter to the levels that we think are befitting our standards. The roof is also leaking and is therefore not suitable for inhabiting.
