How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has improved because I can afford to have a balanced diet . Before, I could only have a balanced diet after a month. In addition, I'm in the process of completing to build my spacious permanent house which I never thought I would have done. In the past, I had a small house which was not enough.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well by supporting me to build permanent house and I have rented land for Agriculture. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I'm spending my second transfer to complete building my permanent house. I bought build materials ( timber, iron sheets, ventilators and cement) worth UGX 1,100,000, Labour worth UGX 400,000, food worth UGX 132,000.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life has changed to a large extent because I have bought a cow, building materials and households items. I live a happy life seeing all thing achievements I have acquired through Give Directly because trust me I would not have bought a cow or building materials on my own if it wasn't of Give Directly.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I became so happy for the assistance Give Directly gave me. As a matter of facts, Give Directly has delivered me from poverty because I used to live in a miserable life of putting on torn clothes, sleeping in ram-shackled house and above all living a single life. But since GD has given me this help I believe I use this transfers to construct a house and get myself a spouse who will comfort me.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I got my transfer I decided to buy construction materials namely, Iron sheets, Bricks and Timber which costed me Ugx 900000. Since I separated with my spouse, I decided to to buy a cow for marrying another wife and I spent ugx 600000. I also bought clothes since I was not having been having presentable clothes and I used ugx 100000. The remaining money that was Ugx 100000 I spent for buying food since feeding was very difficult.
