In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well in sending us the money directly and also they keep their promises. I have not seen anything they did not do well.
What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent most of my third transfer to pay school fees for my grandson who was joining high school. I also spent some amount to prepare my land ready for planting when the rains fall.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I would not have received the money, I would not have bought a cow which I can always sell whenever in need of money. I would not have sent my grandchild to school, thank you GD.

The biggest difference in my life is the capability to pay school fee for my children, a cow i have now and the good house will live in in the next few days.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent 2800 KES on a sack of maize and I added the remaining 7200 KES to buy a desktop costing 8500 KES. That is how I spent my token payment.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I will build a semi-permanent house of 30 iron sheets, buy a goat and a heifer and that is how I will spend my upcoming lumpsum transfer.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Am planning to use part of the money a three roomed semi-permanent house since my house is almost falling off then buy two diary cows and two goats and use the remaining to pay school fees for my two granddaughter who are in high school.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The proudest achievement is being able to educate my two children upto high school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship am facing is am HIV positive and I can't do hard jobs yet u have grandchildren in high school that depends on me. I don't have a job and I depend on sewing sisal ropes for sustainability.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when am doing my household chores.
