How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
i used to spend much of my time doing piece works to feed my family but now i have enough food am am spending quality time with my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
it is giving people money that is helping people and their families overcome poverty.

i have spent the transfer on cement , sand and paying labour for plastering my house and food

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very good and could not believe it till I saw the money, but it was a good excitement. I saw hunger ending at my household and poverty reduced. Now i have money at my household level, meaning the profits of my business can be used to boost business.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have lights at my house now, I can charge phones of neighbors and mostly I have enough food. Also at my house, we have a problems of hynas attacking our livestocks and with the solar panel I bought, the problem has reduced because hynas hate light.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought 5bags of maize, 5bags cement, Solar panels, bought clothes for the whole household and saved some money.

I am so grateful to be in the program as the money will help me to buy food and other needs I could not afford in the past

I have so many kids and grandchildren and its hard for me to provide for them
