I spent my third transfer on buying 40 bags of cement to plaster my house. I wanted it to look neat without smearing. Paid for labor for the people who handled finishing of the house,paid for medical bills for my child who was unwell and used the balance on daily meals.

I spent 40300 Kes on buying building materials ( iron-sheets, nails and timber), transporting them home and paying for building labour. With the rest of the money, I gave my mother 3000 Kes and spent the remaining on buying food.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that am in a better house, which does not leak like the thatched house I was in before. Today, am always at peace even if it rains in the middle of the night because I do not have to pack my property in one corner of the house where it does not leak and stay awake the whole night when it rains because am under an iron-roofed house. I spent my first transfer on buying a cupboard at 7,000 KES, half a sack of maize at 2,000 KES, then used the rest on little house items. My utensils are now kept safe unlike before when rats used to eat my plastic plates.

I was happy very when I received the transfer because it came when I was totally out of cash.
