How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life currently has changed because I was able to build and completely my personal permanent house. Prior to getting this transfer , I really had no hopes of ever putting up a permant house since I can not raise much money from my daily farming to do so. Secondly, I am able to provide my family with most of the basic needs such as food, housing, Clothing and education. In the past, I had to do casual labour to raise money to cater for such needs.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by giving me money that has enabled me to sort most of my financial issues such as build a house. However, there is absolutely nothing bad that GiveDirectly has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to hire two pieces of farm lands. I then bought two goats, two pigs, house hold items like utensils, Clothing, a door, bed sheets, and food. I am saving up some money that will cater for emergencies.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is being able to enter into my completed iron roofed house. This has given me joy and a peace of mind as the house I used to sleep in was in total bad shape. All the grass had worn out and I had no money to ever renovate it.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt so happy for having received my money that I would use as I earlier on planned.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent most of my first transfer to buy building materials such as timber, iron bars, cement, sand, bricks, iron sheets, feeding and paying labor that helped in constructing my iron roofed house. All this was done by my brother. I then bought bedding at Ugx 190000.
