I spent the larger part of my third transfer on building a kitchen and now I have a decent place to cook in and keep my chicken as well. I also paid school fees for my two children who are in high school 10,000 KES
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I have paid school fees for my two children who are in high school with ease and now they haven't been sent home more frequently due to school fees arrears. I am thankful to GiveDirectly for educating my children.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well by giving unconditional cash transfers to the less- unfortunate households in my village and as a result it lead to drastic improvement in the living standards of this individual households as the paid school fees to their children and built decent spacious houses too.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on Secondary school fee and uniform for my daughter (10,000 KES) to facilitate her regular class attendance and hopefully improved performance.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money, I felt as though my heart had attained a state of rest because of the wonderful news. It so happens that my daughter was supposed to join Form Two come January 2017, and my heart was troubled because I had no money for her school fee and uniform, neither did I not know where it would come from.
