How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My primary objective at the moment is to complete my house project. Moreover, I want to buy more goods for my business. I did not have enough money to achieve my goal. However, I was very excited when I received my transfer from GiveDirectly. This money has empowered me to purchase more goods and expand my business. Furthermore, I used portion of my transfer to purchase building materials (zinc, cement, nails etc..) to complete my house project.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has been doing quite well with the entire program. Each and every aspect of this unique project initiated by GD is admirable. I see nothing that GD is not doing so well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I wanted to complete my house project and also buy more goods for my business. Therefore, when I received my recent transfer , I bought 2 bundles of zinc for $22,000LD. Portion of my transfer was also used to purchase 1 carton of mixed nails and zinc nails with 7 bags of cement to complete my house project. My balance transfer was used to purchase enough goods to expand my business.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I have a huge family with lots of children and I don't have a decent house to live in. Sometimes I received guests and I don't have lodging for them because my old thatched roof house is leaking. Based on my living condition, I plan to build my zine house with the transfer I will receive from Givedirectly.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am a farmer and I also produce Palm oil but the income is very small to support my family and to send my children to school so because of that I worried a lot and I'm not happy. However, when I heard about Givedirectly working in nearby towns, it give me hope and I prayed to God for Givedirectly to come to my town. So today I am happy at last for Givedirectly to choose my town and I believe my life is going to change.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have seven children and all of them are here but are not in school because of my financial status. Secondly my house is leaking and even the mud has started to fall off because no money to build a zine house so this is my current challenge.
