How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed because i can afford to build a house now. my current house is small, grass thatched and poorly built and i really wanted a good house. with the transfers that i have received i will be able to build a good house in the dry season . currently i have bought all the materials for building a house and i have also saved some money for costs related to building a house.

i feel like there is nothing that is not done well by Give Directly, everything is done very well.

i was very happy to receive the money because it was my first time in my life to have such a huge amount of money
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
we used to sleep on an empty stomach in most cases due to lack of food, i would do piece work to find money to buy food for my family but due to the money that i have received i have bought food and we no longer sleep on an empty stomach. my house was thatched with grass and it was my great wish to buy iron sheet, with the money that i have received i have bought iron sheets and my house has iron sheet now.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money means alot to my household because i have alot of things i need to take care of like buying food,farm inputs and basic needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I'm always happy in the afternoon hours because that's when I eat since we only eat twice a day thats afternoon and evening.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I'm facing is how to find money for food and money for farm inputs.
