Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When i received the transfer message i was super excited , its rare for an organisation to send out unconditional transfer's and considering the amount it is really shocking, but most of it all I'm super grateful for i have never had such an amount of money before,so i send my heart felt gratitude and thanks to Give Directly for this charity work may you continue doing same to others.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my every day life is we now eat three times a day which is something we couldn't afford in comparison with our past days exactly before GiveDirectly came to our rescue. My family is now a happy family for we are able to achieve our long term goal of building a house abd the credit goes to this organisation for the awesome job.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With my first transfer i had thought about what to do with it way before i even got it, my biggest hardship is of shelter,as you know for one to build a substandard house it is no child's joke, and all along i was living in a rural designed house thatched with glass and nothing else. I had a dream that one day my condition will change and like a fairtale GiveDirectly made this small dream of mine came into reality,so with my K307,200 i removed K150,000 to buy ironsheet which we use for roofing the house,i also used K50,000 for bricks,i then used K50,000 for matress and beddings and the remaining amount was used to buy food(5 bags of maize to be precise). As of now i have bought house building materials and I'm patiently waiting for the second transfer to start up with the actual building of my new house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means improved house and enough food for my family. I stay in a very small house which is also grass thatched. I have been working very hard to to find sources of money so that I can build a new house but to no avail. With the transfers that I will receive I will build a new and good house and I will make sure my family has enough food
What is the happiest part of your day?
Being able to provide basic need for my family is the only thing that brings joy in my family.i do small businesses and every day I wake up worried about basic needs and when I find money and buy basic needs am usually happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My greatest challenge in life is failure to continue with my education because my parents could not afford to pay my school fees. When I wrote my primary school leaving certificate exams I was selected toa secondary school but my parents said they cannot afford to pay for my education and I dropped out of school. Because of that I got married and I have one child but we are staying in a very small house which is in bad condition and am planning to improve my house with the transfers that I will receive.
