My additional goal is to add more chicken to which I currently have so that have chicks and start laying eggs I would sell and spent the money to buy some sheep. I had bought some which I lost when I lost to the disease. Now I have learnt how to take care of them I am planning to keep some so that I would resell and buy a dairy cow.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in the last four months is that, I spent part of my transfers to purchase some onions for planting. I opted to invest in what I know best as I am certain that I will double my earnings once I get to harvest the crop. This would enable me to earn money for paying school fees for my children and taking care of other household expenses.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I believe that I would have bought sheep. Since sheep matures and reproduce faster, I would expect to have a good number which I will sell in future and buy a heifer.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Compared to the last four months, there is a big difference in my life in that, I have improved drastically in terms of livestock production and subsistence farming. Initially I was depending on maize farming alone but currently, I have ventured into other types of farming. I saw it good to diversify due to the unpredictable weather conditions which would sometimes affect the production of maize. Nowadays I have planted bananas, beans and also spring onions which are giving me a good income every three months.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Having improved my farming both subsistence and livestock farming I still feel I should do more in the livestock farming as I work towards purchasing a cow. I already have five goats but still, I have an additional goal to purchase one after every two months so that at the end of four months I will be having enough to sell and at least purchase a cow.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
For a long time before receiving the transfers from GiveDirectly, I have been dreaming of improving my farming especially livestock farming. So far I have made some differences since I received the transfers and among them improving my subsistence farming. The biggest difference in my daily life thou' is the presence of 5 goats which I have been buying one after every two months. I made the decision to keep buying and rearing so that I can later sell them all to buy a cow. The little amount I have been receiving from GiveDirectly would not have been enough to buy a cow on one transfer that is why I decided to invest on goats first so that I can sell them later when I will be going for a cow.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
With the intense work I am currently doing on my farms, I have a lot of expectation in the near future. If all will go well as planned, I expect to still add the number of goats to the flock so that in the next six months I can sell all of them to purchase one milk-producing cow.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I am a proud farmer. My life revolves around tilling the land and waiting for crops to mature as I engage in livestock rearing. Owning livestock is a necessary activity to fill the gap between the planting and harvesting time. Because of this, I have bought and continue to buy sheep to keep. Also, buying cushions for the seats that I bought earlier using the initial transfer, has improved my home. I have a large house but had no chairs. Both of these two developments have been made possible by these transfers.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I don't have any additional goals but to focus on buying sheep to rear using every month's transfers. I will later use it to buy a cow. My ultimate goal is to buy a dairy cow.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is owning sheep. We jointly buy a sheep with every transfer we get from GiveDirectly together with my husband. This practice has given me a flock of sheep to keep since I started doing this as soon as I began receiving the cash. It is a blessing to have livestock which I can sell at a time I need money. I will rear and facilitate them to multiply up to a point where I can sell them and use the money to buy a cow. I need a dairy cow to provide me with milk for consumption and also for sale to generate an income. This will be a very big difference in my life.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I will be owning a cow. This will come from selling the sheep that I continuously buy using every month's transfer. This scheme of buying one every month is allowing me to keep money and use it later. When I sell them, I will have enough money to buy a dairy cow.
