How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different. I used to be in debt and lack but now I have cleared the loan using GiveDirectly funds. I had taken the loan to start a shop and poultry business ( the chicken died of disease unfortunately) . So I cleared he loan and I am now at peace. My shop is also doing better than before because I restocked it using the transfer that I received from GiveDirectly.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
At the moment I do not have any new goal. I only wish to build rental houses if I had some financial muscle so as to get a source of monthly income. Financial limitation is however holding me back from setting this as a goal. May be I will in future.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I cleared school fee arrears for my son who was in secondary school. His certificate was retained in school as a result, so I was so relieved when I cleared the arrears using the first transfer that GiveDirectly sent me. I am now at peace and without anxiety. I am grateful for the funds. We wish to get more funds from GiveDirectly, if it were possible, to ease our burden and enable us to take our children to college nevertheless we are grateful this far.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in a good way. In the next six months, I expect my shop to flourish. Should I need to expand the shop further I might consider taking another loan then repay over time. I will also restart the poultry business that fell due to the unfortunate death of the chicken so that I will have an additional income source from selling eggs because I already have a client base.
