How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have realised very many improvements through GiveDirectly in that I constructed a three roomed permanent house. Prior to receiving the transfer, I was living in a small thatched house. In addition to this, I paid school fees for my two children. In the past, I had to sell food crops to try and raise school fees. Yet this was not a lucrative venture. Nevertheless, I am very grateful that GiveDirectly came to my aid.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well to send the poor people cash transfers that have helped many people. Moreso,GiveDirectly did well to provide us with mobile phones which have enhanced our comunication with each other. On the otherhand, much as we still have many needs. GiveDirectly has done the best so far.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second cash transfer to purchase cement, sand, doors and windows to complete the construction of the three roomed house . I also paid school fees for two children and the balance was spent on buying food.
