What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am glad to be enrolled in the project. As you can see, the floor of my house is made of sand and it does not have durable window frames. I plan to use the money to buy bags of cement which I will use to make a new floor. I will also buy window frames. On top of that, I will buy maize because I don't have enough maize to last till the next harvesting season. I will also invest the money in farming during the coming farming season. Lastly, I will buy a matress because I need to be sleeping on a comfortable place.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I don't have a specific time of the day when I am happy. I am happiest especially in December when I receive my monetary contributions from a village bank group I joined. However, it depends on whether I don't have a loan to pay to the bank at that particular time.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is not having enough money to take care of myself and my children. I depend on selling vegetables and run other small businesses depending on the season to make money. However, the money I make is never enough to take good care of my family.
