How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed for the better, i had no food and I am glad that i have enough food for the rest of the year. My sleeping place was also not comfortable and i have acquired new bedding because of the transfer.
I am also very sure that I will harvest bumper yield this year if all factors are to stay constant. I have been lacking money to buy fertilizer and some farm inputs.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GD is doing very well in developing rural villages. The money is enough for a wise person to developed himself or herself.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am so grateful for being one of the beneficiaries. I had nothing to eat and I bought 4 bags of maize for food processing. I also bought 2 bags of fertilizer in readiness of the growing season. I also bought a bag of groundnuts seed.
I have also used part of my transfer to rent 2 acres of land. The remaining amount of money will be used to improve my house.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i received my transfer my heart was filled with joy because that marked end of my poverty. In my life i never received or paid a huge amount of money like that so being first time i was wholly overwhelmed with joy

The biggest different in my daily life is that soon i will own a house with iron sheets roof, which i did not expect in my life

I spent my transfer on things which i have been longing for for a long time such as iron sheets, matress, blankets for the whole family, maize for food and also moulding bricks for constructing a new house
