Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My home is now different because I have acquired new mattresses which are making my nights comfortable. Secondly, I acquired nice utensils which are presentable even when I have vistors. Before getting money I had challenges especially when I get vistors because I did not have a bed and good utensils for serving them food.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfers, I became so happy. I thanked God and asked him to continue blessing GiveDirectly because it has given me strength and peace.

I spent my first transfer to pay school fees of UGX 700,000. I used UGX 500,000 for buying household items which are a bed, 2 mattresses, a pair of bedsheets, kitchen utensils, clothes and shoes. I boosted my business with the balance of UGX 500, 000 .

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will be able to build permanent iron-roofed house for better accomadation. It has become challenging and costly to maintain a grass thatched house because grass is scarcity. My family members are lacking basic needs since Iam unable to balance shelter maitainace and other roles. The house built will provide good shelter for my family members. Also I will save excess money spend on maitianing grass thatched house for providing other basic needs to the family members.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My favourite part of the day is morning hours while at Icapu trading centre. I do sell raw cow and bull heads to custmers while chatting with them. This put a smile on my face as I get money for footing other family bills.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is lack of money for educating my children. I depend on crop farming and due to limited access of land, my family realizes little out put from crops production. This is not sustainable enough to cater for high demands of current fees in schools. My children have no option but to drop out schools.
