How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have always believed that the success of my children is brought about by giving them a quality education. Therefore, I did everything to make this dream achievable by selling most of my properties including the livestock to educate them because at that time my husband had retired and being that he was the breadwinner we opted to sell all the livestock which we had. With the transfer my life is different in that I have gotten a dairy cow which has already reproduced and now we manage to get six litters of milk for our consumption and sell some to my nearby neighbors and use the profits to buy food for my family's consumption.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, the transparency involved during the registration process and giving transfers as it had been promised gives me all the reasons to say GiveDirectly did its work so well.Personally I do not see what GiveDirectly didn't do well at their work.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I invested a better part of my second transfer on poultry farming through constructing a chicken cope and stocked 50 chickens. Today, I am able to supply chickens to different people around my area which means I have a stable source of income. I also bought my livestock feeds and medicine. The remaining amount was majorly spent on buying my household expenditures.
