How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
The difference in my life in the last four months is that I have ten chicken. I have always desired to have chicken as part of farming. Since I did not have a good income, I was not able to spare some amount of money to buy the chicken. After I had finished paying for my tailoring course, I used part of the money to buy the chicken. I am glad that the transfers have helped me realize my dream.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is that I start a tailoring business. I would want to have my own business premise where I can successfully employ others and help them grow. The business will help me gain more experience and expand my client base.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving these transfers is that I am a tailor. Without the transfers, I would not have managed to take the tailoring course successfully. I had desired to take a tailoring course for three years so that I can have a stable source of income. I could not achieve the goal due to the low income from farming. I had to put up with what I had. Upon receiving these transfers, I revived the dream of registering for a tailoring course. I am glad I have finished the course and I want to start my own tailoring business.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I plan to save my transfers so that I can rent a place where I can carry out my tailoring business. I would want to have a different place to have a business than my home. Through this, I will be able to reach to some many customers unlike when I do it from my home.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was before Give Directly came into my life. I am happier and more ambitious in life. Nowadays, I am goal oriented unlike before where I only worried about food and other daily needs. Through the monthly transfer, I can easily take care of my daily needs and still save a little for my future goals. I like the fact that I do not depend on my husband to buy everything but help him to take care of some needs. It makes me feel worthy and of great help and not a burden.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to have a business premise. I have finished taking my tailoring course but have a machine in the house. Some few friends know that I sew clothes but I want to have a place where most customers can reach me. I need to look for a busy shopping center and place several placards in order to advertise my job and location. I can only do this with the help that I get from this organization. I, therefore, plan to continue saving my monthly income in order to accumulate enough money to start my sewing business.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I was able to pay my exams fee without ease and on time. I was doing a tailoring course and the final exams had approached. I did not know how I was going to pay for it. If it were not for GiveDirectly I could have not done the exams which simply meant, repeating the same semester. This would have wasted my time, energy and resources. I am glad that I paid the amount on time and did not have to sit for the exams later on due to lack of money.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the next six months is to have a business premise. I finished my tailoring course recently and I believe that I am competitive enough and ready to face new challenging designs. My neighbors and a few friends know that I have a sewing machine and I sew different designs inside my house. I want to continue doing this but in a business premise where I can get more customers.
