Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the money, I felt so good . I have never held such an amount of money before in my life. I felt so good.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have a bigger house as compare to before. My family can fit it more comfortably.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent the money I received from GiveDirectly on buying materials that I used to build a new house. My old house was in very bad shape and it was so small to accommodate my whole family comfortable. I am glad I have a more spacious house now. Some of the money I also spent on buying food for my family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means a decent house for my family since the one we currently live in is small and some of my children are seeking refuge from my relative. Imagine living in the same room with my co-wife plus some of our children! It has been a life of ridicule from our villagers. Since we are two wives in our house, our plan was to contribute at least 300 dollars each towards the construction of the house and this will mean a spacious structure. My other plan is to buy 5 goats that will multiply with time and help me support my children's education. The remaining amount will cater for other basic needs like food, beddings, and clothing.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Evening is the happiest part of my day because it is at this time when I get maximum time to relax from my day's hard activities. Unlike in the morning and afternoon hours when I spend them doing farm work and burning of charcoal.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Lack of a reliable source of income to support the needs of our household is the biggest hardship that I have ever faced. Imagine living in the same room with my co-wife plus some of our children just because we can not afford to have a spacious house! Our husband is also jobless and getting at least two meals per day is just by the mercy of God. Consequently, our children's school performances are affected negatively since most of the time, they are sent home due to the big fee arrears they owe the school.
