How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The biggest change in my life is that, I live a comfortable life because I have enough bedding. Prior to this, I owned one bed sheet that I had to wash during day and use it at night. Besides, when visitors come a round, I did not have enough bedsheets to give them.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well through picking up a majority of us from nothing to something. I did not have a cow but now I own one. neither did I own a permanent house but now I own one. I do not see gaps in their operations.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second cash transfer for buying cement, bricks, sand and paying labour for the builders towards construction of my house. I paid school fees for my child who is in secondary education. I bought a heifer to act as my family's investments. I then bought a mattress, bedsheets, utensils and clothes for my household.
