How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I was worried that I would not manage to pay for the farm inputs I had taken on credit in good time hence risk not benefiting from the offer from one Acre Fund this planting season. Fortunately, Give Directly helped me to clear the loan in good time through the transfers and I was able to secure more inputs for this season and I am confident that I will get better harvests once again.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not have any new plans other than using the transfers to pay for the farm inputs and products that I received from One Acre Fund on credit at the beginning of this season. as I have been doing with most of my previous transfers.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I was able to use my transfers to pay the oxen owners I had hired to plough my farm in preparation for the planting season that we just began. If it was not for the transfers, it could have been very hard for me to raise the money on my own which could have forced me to sell some of my previous harvests. I am pleased that I did not have to get into my grain store and that I still have enough cereals to last my family for a long time, even if this season does not do well.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
This past farming season, I was able to get a better harvest which I did not have to sell to raise the money to pay for the inputs that I received from One Acre Fund on credit as I used to do before because the transfers took care of that. With another season underway, I hope to get even more produce which I can later sell to raise money for other needs.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it would have been in the last months is that I was able to clear One Acre Fund. I knew I would have to sell my harvest so as to raise money to pay back the loan. This would have affected my budget because I would be forced to sell part of my harvest to pay back the loan. Thank God for GD who came to my rescue and the loan is sorted already.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to buy building materials for my son so that he may finally have a house. He does not have a house now and he depends on casual work which does not pay much. This is the reason why I have decided to help him buy materials so that he can finally have his own house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
GD transfers have done away with the kind borrowing I used to borrow to meet my needs. This is because I only depend on subsistence farming and could not manage to raise enough money to meet my needs as I would want to. This forced me into begging because I did not have the energy to go for casual work. Receiving these transfers have really changed my life. I no longer have the many debts I used to have. I have cleared the debts and I also do have money to meet my needs. I feel life is better after GD transfers.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next months in that I will save money to help my son raise enough money to buy building materials. I am worried about my son who has come of age and does not have a house because of his low income. I would want to help raise money to buy building materials for building a house for himself.

I have been using the amount of money to buy milk from a small scale supplier within the village. Initially my family used to take black tea not because that is what we wanted but we had no option. However, currently things are different because i can afford to buy milk for the kids, which for me is such a big difference.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I have a long term of keeping chicken in a large quantity but the only thing that I am missing at the moment is the structure where I will be keeping them. So for me right now i am planning of savings every single month so that I can be able to get the structure and start off the project. I know that once the project gets rolling their numbers will increase significantly and most probably I will be in a position to sel, out some of them in the future and make some little cash.
