How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
With the first, Second and third money was used for School fees payment, bought one matress, three bundles of zinc and packs of nails. I have not developed a new goal because the money i received recently was used for contractors payments and saved the balance money to sustain my family. Life was difficult in paying school fees and getting regular meals until givedirectly came in to my life. My source of living had been making farm some days work as a daily hire. But, with the money i received from givedirectly, my life is now better. Thanks to givedirectly for improving my life.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was in my village when I heard people shouting that givedirectly has sent them money. When I heard the news, I when at the network areas to check if I have received mine. And surprisingly for me, I saw a huge amount of money in. I was very much happy and rejoicing that day. I was happy because in my whole life I haven't received such money for free without paying back. I'm a farming. I farmed for living. I will have to farm the whole day just to get money to paid my children school fees and provide good food for them. But when I received my first transfer I was so much overwhelmand happy. My plan was to build a decent apartment in my village. But I never had money to accomplish my plan. But with God and givedirectly I'm now able to start my building project. Many thanks to Givedirectly for their support.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
The first thing is to break this current structure and start to build new house, it is difficult to get thatch for our houses in this town, we can travel distances and it can be tiring. Some of this money will be used to register my children in school as well.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I came from the farm one evening and on my way I heard people in our town discussing about GiveDirectly work in the nearby town, I stood and listened carefully, from that moment I started to imagine myself being in this program and how it could change my life, I wake up every morning feeling happy believing that I will one day benefit from the this program.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My children school fees payment has not been completed, I am under pressure to get this balance money and I have no idea on how I am going to do this; the house I am in is another problem, my roof is half opened and the water is spoiling my things in this house.
