Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My goal is to construct a new house. I currently live in a mud-walled house which is very cumbersome to maintain. At times, due to the lack of enough time, it becomes very unkempt. I plan to save enough money in order to construct one with timber. This will improve cleanliness as well as being presentable
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am now happier because I with the first transfers, I managed to clear all school fees balances for my children and for once, they have studied continuously without being sent home for school fees. This has also managed to cultivate good relations with the school administration. In as much as I didn't manage to study to their level, I believe education is key and once they will complete their studies, their lives will be much better off in future
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
in the next six months, my life will have changed. I believe by that time, the dairy cow that I recently bought will have calved and so will have sufficient milk for my household consumption as well as for resale hence more income. I also believe my house construction will have kicked off and so expects a much happier life in future

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference is that I am happy because I now have a cow that I bought using Give Directly transfer.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my family life to change especially to plaster our house because we live in one with earthen floor & walls. I expect to have it renovated to wooden walls and plaster the floor. Once I expand my business using my next Give Directly transfer, I will get proceeds that will enable us to renovate the house in the coming year.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different because I now have a cow that I did not have had I not received the transfer from Give Directly.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My new goal is to buy more stock for my grocery business because I now sell avocados and bananas but I plan to add vegetables - to sell cabbages in a truck.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have ever faced in my life is when my seasonal crops in the farm fail because of heavy rains or during times of drought. During this time, I do not have a source of income and therefore, paying fees for my children becomes a challenge for me. I am therefore forced to rely on my neighbors and wellwishers to give me odd jobs so that I can meet my obligations as a parent.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of the my day is in the evening because this is the time that I spend time with my family. Additionally, I am happy because I have worked hard tilling my farm and I am able to see my crops grow since it is an assuarity of food security.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
When I receive my transfers, I am planning to use part of the money to pay school fees for my children. I will use the remainig amount to buy a cow for my family because I have always desired to own one.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The biggest achievement that I am proudest of is my farm. I have over the years relied on my farming because it has been a constant source of income for me and my family. From the proceeds I get after selling the crops in my farm, my children are able to feed, get clothes and do not depend on my neighbors.
