Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I'm able to stay at home and work in peace knowing that my children's school fees are well sorted. They used to be in and out of school often because I never had a dime. Right now we can comfortably have a decent meal like any other family. we used to skip a meal so that we can afford an evening meal. I can proudly say that I'm healthier now.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
That moment I received this transfer I was so overjoyed. I kneeled down and prayed first because my hurt was beating so fast, then I hurriedly went to the nearby market to buy iron sheets for the house. I was so anxious to acquire items I have never held in my life. That was the biggest and happiest day of my life.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my transfer on building a new house, school fees, buying maize and clothes for my children. I had a very small house which was leaking whenever it rained. We never had peace whenever we want to cook. Having a new house is a big achievement because my children can proudly call it home.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I live one room. It is a very small mud house that I share with my 4 children and my husband. My eldest son has to go to spend the nights in other people's houses in the neighborhood. This will change because I will build a bigger house for my family. I will also build one for my son who is now grown and as a man we can't share the room we have.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is during the day when I have an opportunity to see what is going on in my neighborhood. I enjoy seeing other people's projects and even helping them as I work on my own farm. Seeing my work going on also makes me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship is famine. My farm hasn't been productive, I farm but the crops fail. I am worried that my children may have to sleep hungry in days to come. As we head to January I will have to be buying food yet I don't have a constant income.
