How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Finishing my house is something I really wanted to do when I heard of GD. I earlier gave up because I had no money but GD gave me an opportunity to revive my dream. I am grateful.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I have seen GD as of great benefit to me. GD is doing very well in providing cash transfers to rural in huge amounts. I have managed to finish my house which I couldn't have managed on my own.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used second transfer to finish my house which I built some time back. I bought 10 bags of cement for plastering and floor. I also bought 7 bags of maize for food processing. 2 bags of fertilizer to apply in my maize field. The other amount of money was used for medical expenses. I have a child who was admitted at the hospital

This will be a great joy to the family. As you can see we are eating cooked mangoes to supplement our food supply. If we receive this money, we as a family we will be able to buy a bed, and supplement food supplies. We would like to renovate our house as well.
What is the happiest part of your day?
One of my relative bought a bag of maize. We are so happy that wr can eat properly. This has given me great joy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
We do face sickness and we would be happy to buy dome medicines with the money. In addition, good shortages for me and the kids.
