What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successful to receive GiveDirectly Cash transfer I intend to send my son to school.I have two children and the older one has not been in school for the past two years. The school that he was attending in the near by town has been closed down for the past two years due to payment of teachers.I really want my older son to relocate to Monrovia in order to attend and become someone better for tomorrow, but because of financial constraints I'm unable to do so. I'm only depending on the little pepper garden that provide us with daily substance, but not additional cash flow to pay my son school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last months what has brought me joy or happiness is when my sister gives me four cups of rice in October 2021.I was happy for what she did for me because I didn't have money to buy rice, so the fact that my sister gives me four cups of rice, it brought so much joy to me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship I'm facing now is financial constraints.Though I make pepper garden but the money I earn is not enough. My spouse that used to help me make large farm left me four years ago because of another woman. My farm used to produce four of the 25kg bags of cassava daily of which I could sell three bags a day that was enough to buy food for my children.I am currently engage in pepper garden so as to earn some income, but the income I earn is very minimum. I usually get one pan of pepper per day and that cannot substain my family.I am not comfortable with the condition I'm in, therefore I will appreciate any assistance provided to me by GiveDirectly to improve my livelihood.
