It was an exciting moment. We felt being saved from the suffering that we as a family were going through.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Unlike in the past I have for the first time bags of maize in my house in the month of January. We are eating daily as if we have just harvested our crops. This is a big contrast to what life was like the same period in the past years.

As a household we spent this cash on buying iron sheets, 4 bags of maize, seeds, fertilizer and 5 bags of maize. This is the maize that we are still eating at the moment with my family.
