What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successful to receive this transfer from GiveDirectly, I will build a house in Kanweaken which had been my plan for a long period of time. I make pepper farm as a means to sustain my family, the money I earn from the farm proceeds last year I used some to pay my husband hospital bills and used the balance to pay my children tuition. The reason I want to build a house in Kanweaken is that, the school in this town stop to Elementary and my children are in the senior class, they get up early in the morning by 4am, walk and go to school in Kanweaken, walk and come back everyday. The distance from this town to Kanweaken is about one hour, thirty minutes walk. I feel bad at times seeing my children walking everyday to go to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, what has brought me joy is, when my husband recovered from his sick bed in February 2022. It all started when my husband got sick in December 2021 I lost all hope due to his condition but by the grace of God he recovered in February 2022 which brought me so much hap because piness he's the only person who take care of my children and I.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I'm facing now is getting money to build a house in Kanweaken which had been my plan. Even though I make farm as means to sustain my family, the money I earn from the farm proceeds last year, I used some to pay my husband hospital bills and used the balance to pay my children's tuition. The school in this town stop to elementary and my children are in the senior class because of that I register in Kanweaken public school. They get up early in the morning by 4am, walk from this town to Kanweaken everyday to go to school and the distance from this town to Kanweaken is about one hour, thirty minutes. I feel bad times seeing my children going through that kind of stress everyday. I will appreciate any help from GiveDirectly to improve my living condition.
