Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to save money to boost my small business.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have started a business. I depend on casual jobs in the village to earn an income to meet household needs and pay school fees. The money from these jobs is so small and could not gather for all the basic needs including paying school fees. Whenever there were no jobs we could go without food and this was so stressful. Currently, I have a business of buying tea leaves from the farmers and I sell at the factory o get the money. I'm so happy because I earn an income that enables me to buy other household needs and even the school fees. I'm so happy because our living standard has improved.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in that I will be in a position to improve my business through the savings that I will have saved.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in our life is that we have our own motorcycle which when my husband operates as a taxi it brings some cash by the end of the day. We now get money for food and we can afford to get a good meal.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months we would have expect to have save enough money to buy a piece of land.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently we can get cash to buy food and to save towards buying a piece of land.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
Our new goal is to buy a piece of land as the one we are living in is so squeezed. We plan to buy our own land where we will call home.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is lack of land. We do not have anywhere to call home for our family and this limits our potential and what we can do to improve our livelihood. We are optimistic that we will acquire land soon and bring this problem to an end.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when we wake up as a family and all of us are in good health. It is then that we interact and forget our problems and share the family happiness together.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
We are planning to spend all our transfers in buying a piece of land that our family can settle on.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement that am proudest of was last year when I accumulated huge bonuses from my tea buying hustle. With these bonuses I was able to buy a cow that am looking forward to milking it in the near future.
