Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the relief I feel in my heart knowing that I will now complete my house using my transfer and move in. This house will help to accommodate my children, visitors, and store some things compared to the house that I am currently staying in that is very small.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt so anxious and delighted. The long awaited money had finally come through and my plans would now materialize.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
Although I have not yet started using my money, I plan to spend part my first transfer to complete my house that I had started building before GiveDirectly coming to the area. I also plan to use part of the money to pay up fees for the following term for my children.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving the money means ability to pay school fees for my children. I have eight children studying in boarding schools and paying their school fees is challenging. My spouse spends all his salary on them including the little I get from selling produce.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In most times, I am happy in the evening after carrying out my household chores. I play music and especially gospel in order to refresh my mind. My spouse works far a way from home in the neighbouring district and I play music as one of the ways to pass time.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is lack of a reliable and sustainable source of income in order to pay school fees for my children . My spouse is a teacher earning little salary. I engage basically in farming and some times I don't get good yields that would enable me earn more from it. That limits the ability of my children to study well because some times, they are sent oh of school due to non payment of their fees.
