I had built a small house for my children before to allow them to have a safe and humble place to live in. As time went by and my family grew, my children's house has been slowly becoming uncomfortable for them to carry on their studies and spend their nights in. In the next four months, the new goal that I have for my life is to build a spacious decent house. I wish to build this to allow them to have spacious enough and humble rooms to study and spend their nights in with fewer commotions.

I primarily depend on farming to earn a living to support my family. Since farming is affected by weather and natural conditions crop farming is not reliable to depend on alone thus I practice mixed farming to reduce the risk. I had earlier started poultry keeping to enhance my income. I preferred this since it was affordable for me to start and manage. Even though I had a plan to expand it, my overwhelming daily household needs made it impossible to realize this. I found myself neglecting my project and it slowly falling. In the last four months, I have been injecting part of my transfers to my poultry farming. This has brought the biggest change in my life since it has expanded it. My chickens have tripled in number thus I collect more eggs than before. I earn an extra income that has enabled me to meet my daily household needs with ease.

In the next six months, I expect my life to have changed in that I will have built a house for my children and my poultry farming will have fully picked up. I see myself earning more income which in turn eases my family access to basic needs and other financial needs. I expect the new house will give my children more comfortable spacious rooms to study and live in.

My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I no longer struggle so much doing casual jobs in the village mainly by working on my neighbor's farms with meager earnings after being assigned cumbersome works. Nowadays I do earn an extra income from the sales of eggs which support me in meeting all the basic needs for my family.

My new goal for the next four months is to continue saving the transfer in the merry go round group so as to expand my poultry business which I recently started by adding the number of chicken that I have.

I have been saving part of my transfer's in the merry go round group which we had started in the village upon enrolling in GiveDirectly's transfer project. Recently, I was fortunate to get my savings and I used it to build a poultry cope. The remaining amount I bought chicken to facilitate the start of rearing poultry. The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I started a poultry keeping project at home which could not have been possible before. Today, the poultry project earns me an income by selling eggs at the nearby shopping center. Therefore, meeting my household basic needs especially paying school fees for my children is no longer a struggle as compared to before when I only relied on casual jobs and the income I got was not enough to meet all the needs for my family.

I expect my life to change in the next six month in that I will have saved enough from the sales of eggs to buy a goat with them. I have always desired to own one hence the savings will make it possible one day.

Currently, I am happy a person now. This is because at least I can assist my spouse in meeting the house needs unlike before. After receiving the transfer form GiveDirectly, I managed to start poultry keeping. This has given me a good income from egg production. At least I can now cater for everything required in our household and my husband can major on school fees payment.

My new goal in the next four months is to buy more chicken. Because of the good income I have seen from it, God willing, I will add more so as to increase the income. I will manage to this using the savings I have in our table banking.

The biggest difference in My daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I am able to purchase households need unlike before I could only depend on my spouse. Depending on one person to cater for everything is really a burden to him. Thanks to GiveDirectly. I managed to save the transfers through the table banking and used them to start poultry farming. The income I get from the sale of egg production has assisted me to contribute to my spouse in taking care of household needs.

I expect in the next six months to have purchased two goats. I will manage to do this using the saving I have in table banking.
