Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I very happy and grateful when I received my transfer. I even bought meat so that the family can celebrate. That was the turning point of my life. Every thing is good now.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Everything is fine and good now. I was a worried person almost every day. Feeding my family was a challenge but the money made it easy. I bought the food required for the family. I have also managed to buy iron sheets. I have been doing farming for so long but I never raise such amount of money to buy iron sheets. My children also live a happy life. They have school uniforms that they have been desiring for so long.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money to improve my sleeping place. I bought beddings such as Mattress, bedsheets and a blacket. I also bought clothes for my family including school uniforms for my children. They didn't have school uniforms and could be chased out of school because of that. I have also been experiencing hunger now and again and I thought it wise to buy food. I bought 5 bags of maize. I also bought 24 iron sheets. I have kept the iron sheets because I am planning to build a proper house God willing next year.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money will mean a lot to me, I will be able to build a good house. Am not able to build a good house now cause I do not have enough money, my husband is a fisherman and he earn about MK 30000 per month, which is not enough to buy food and save some to build a house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I have food for the family. It's not easy to have money her as sometimes my husband come back home without money when it's off season for fishing, so whenever he bring something home am happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I have faced is lack of money to provide for the family and to build a good house.
