Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My goal currently is to make sure that I buy a cow within the next few months so that I stop buying milk in the future as I have always been doing in the past. I spend a lot of money doing this yet this is the opportunity for me to get to own my own.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I bought a brand new set of furniture and I also managed to build a brand new house. Way back in the past I used to sleep at a neighbors place and all this was quite uncomfortable for me, but then finally I thank God I managed to finally get a place of my own, fully packed with the household I would ever desire to have.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My life will change because six months from today I will have saved enough money that will enable me to buy a cow and start an animal farming project

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
After saving most of the transfers I have been receiving from GiveDirectly since I received the transfer, I was finally able to buy all the required materials and constructed my own house back in my home village. I so pleased because whenever I go home from now onwards, I will no longer have sleep in my neighbour's house as I did before. My siblings, especially my brother who had to go back home to take care of our young siblings can also now have a comfortable place to sleep and not have to worry about the rules issued by house owners where he slept at before I constructed this house.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Now that most of my family's burden is on me after the death of my mother, all I have in mind is to ensure that my siblings are well taken care of. I wish to use the next few transfers to buy the basic needs required by my siblings especially maize because they did not farm during this recent season. I also want to ensure that their school needs are catered for so that they don't have to be sent away from school. After all, is in place, I will start saving towards my sister's secondary school fee as she will soon complete her primary education and I need to prepare for that financially.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
After losing my mother mid last year, most of the responsibilities of my family fell on me because my father is not so responsible and does not bother much about my siblings' welfare. Receiving transfers from Give Directly has made it possible for me to properly provide for my siblings' needs even during those days that I am not able to make much from my fishing job. I have managed to cater for their school needs in time and ensured that they always have decent meals, all of which I owe to these transfers because none of these would be possible through my little income.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Even though the current source of income I have is not so stable and mostly does not earn me much, I am hopeful that I will have saved a decent amount of money over the next six months for my sister's high school plans. This is because the financial assistance I will be receiving from Give Directly in the next six months will enable me to provide for my family gallowing me to save from my job.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I'm the first born in our family and I didn't have a house because I couldn't afford it since I didn't have a reliable source of income. This has always worried me and I'm always forced to seek for a sleeping space in my neighbors' house which is so inconveniencing. I'm happy I have managed to purchase some building materials with the transfers and I'm planning to construct a house by July this year. This has given me peace and I feel proud of myself.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have saved enough money for my college fee so that I can complete my course. With the college certificate, I'll be able to secure a decent job thus my life will improve.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Being orphaned with eight siblings to take care of, I had to work extra hard in order to raise money to take of them. I'm happy this is not the case anymore because I have been using the money I have been receiving from GiveDirectly to meet the needs.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My mum passed on when I was almost completing my college education. I was therefore forced to drop out of college because my dad couldn't afford my college fee. Therefore, for the next four months of my life after constructing my house, I'm planning to start saving some money so that I can go back and complete the college education.
