What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a portion of the transfer to buy chairs because I only had one at that moment. Bought a mattress because the one I had was too thin hence denying me a sound sleep. I paid my high school child fee. I also purchased some foodstuffs for family consumption.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The differene in my life is that I own a large house which has remained a dream in me for long time since I could not afford to save enough money to establish one.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What GD does well is that it doesn't direct the beneficiaries on how to use the money. Regarding what they doesn't do well, I'm blank.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I had to pay clear school fees balance for my son in a secondary school with 2000 KES of my first transfer since without clearing the balance, he wouldn't sit for his exams. I never had food too and therefore the remaining part of it went to buying food.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
The roof of my main house is too old to provide us with clean rain water and therefore I will replace its roof when I receive this my upcoming second transfer. The remaining part of it will go to educating my children in high school.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
My first plan is to use part of the transfer to replace the iron sheets of my house's roof. This is because the current ones are leaking when it is, and also to fix steel door and windows. The second plan is to use another part of the transfer to pay school fees for my son who is in secondary school in form one, and also pay school levies for my four children in primary school. Lastly, I intend to use the remaining amount to start a small business of selling fish to sustain my family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I'm very proud of is having been able to educate my son who is in secondary school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Providing food for my family has been my biggest hardship due unreliable source of income.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part my day is in the evening when I am with my children preparing supper.
