How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
RE: Before the coming of givedirectly i was serving as helper to someone on their cannon fishing.
I always wished to own a motorbike to start a transport business one day and construct my own house in Cestos city but i could not afford.
With the help of givedirectly, i now own a fairly use bike and i am on my house construction process as well.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
RE: Since I was born, it is my first time to receive such money for free in my lifetime.
Givedirectly did extremely well with this program of theirs.
They really change my life for the best and my household and i are beyond grateful

RE: I spend the most of my recent transfer setting up a business for my spouse in other to help our household.
The rest of the money is being put into savings for the construction of my of our house .

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
RE: I am a fisherman, my household and i survive from the fishing that i do but life wasn't still easy.
With givedirectly cash transfer i decided to build a house in cestos, because it is the capital and i feel uncomfortable when i visit or come there for some reason and start looking for place to sleep.

RE: Givedirectly is doing really good for us. Because since the days of my parents i had never heard or seen such program of NGO givedirectly free money.

RE: I spend the most of my transfer on starting a new business in other to help with the family expenditure. The business i have started is transport business. I purchased a fairly use bike and am running it right now as transport.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt fine when I received the first transfer because this is my first time to get free transfer of cash. I'm a motorcyclist who always running people's motorcycle as a source of income; meanwhile, getting the garnt will enable me to get a motorcycle which I intend to use for commercial purpose. This will enable me support my daughter and her mother as well as myself. As I save all the transfers and collect it at the end of the program, I will firstly buy motorcycle and the balance amount will be used to purchase zinc for my incoming house project.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference the cash transfer is making in my life is, I currently have a cash saving that can be used in case of emergency and to implement plans. As the same time, people don't under estimate me like in the past; that is, my human dignity is restored at the community.

I'm saving my transfers to buy my own motorcycle for trading purpose. The balance amount of money is to be used to purchase zinc to build my own house. At the same time, the motorcycle will be providing cash as I implement or undertake my house construction.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I was a fisherman but things have become so difficult and fish is not dying as we expect, so I am sitting home and have nothing doing. Because of this reason, I have decided to start a business with my cash transfer. I want to start selling things that are in demand in my community. Like slippers, clothes and soft drink. I will also save some of the cash to build my house later.Presently the house we are in does not belong to my family and I.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Seeing my daughter each day looking healthy makes me happy. This is because she is my first and only child that I have for now.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My family and I dont have a home of our own.This has become worrisome for me.I can say that my major challenge faced now is lack of finance. Because of this reason I can not build a house for my family .
