How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No! I had no new goals. My house is not in a good condition. It leaks during the rainy season. I have been hoping to build a new house but have been unable due to lack of money. I am a farmer. Things have not been too well for my family. I could hardly afford all of my children tuitions. Some of them had dropped from school. I could not afford our daily meals. Sometimes we eat just once a day. I was devastated. I was so happy when I started receiving payments from GiveDirectly. Everything changed for the best. Hopefully our lives will improve for the best.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly does not do anything wrongly. It has changed our lives and given us better futures. That they don't accept gifts of goodwill is what we as villagers think they do not do well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was so happy when I received my payment. I bought zinc and some other building materials. I used some of my money to pay my children tuition. I saved a little amount.
