How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have been in position to construct an iron roofed house that I intend to shift immediately after fitting a door and windows. Shifting to my new house will relieve me from the burden of renovating my hut annually. Previously, I didn't have enough money to purchase the needed building materials and to pay for construction labor.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well to give my family unconditional cash that I have used to better my family's standard of living, by constructing an iron roofed house. GiveDirectly has not done anything bad on my side.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase construction materials( cement, sand, door, windows and aggregate). In addition, I bought food, clothes for my self, jerry cans and utensils. I have not yet spent UGX 500,000 but I am planning to spend it for paying my children's school fees, construction labor and buying clothes for family members.

I heard my phone buzzing at midnight. Only to check and read a mobile money from GiveDirectly. I was very happy at that moment because this money was going to transform my life. I had alot of worries due to lack of money to purchase most household items.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have spent UGX 540000 to purchase bricks. I have spent UGX 50000 to pay school fees. I am planning to spend the balance on purchasing houshold items such as clothes, utensils and also to start the construction of an iron roofed house.
